Crossborders Hires Adam Kahn as Creative Director to Lead ‘Ideas’ Unit CB Labs

Crossborders, which provides communications strategy, app development and digital video production solutions to marketers, has hired Adam Kahn as Creative Director and leader of its CB Labs unit, effective immediately.
CB Labs is the agency’s incubator for the next wave of exciting mobile games and apps, and several new products are in development.
“Adam adds an element of surprise to our operation because his creativity isn’t bound by a single medium,” said Nick Godfrey, COO of Crossborders. “We needed his type of thinking and artistic curiosity to jumpstart CB Labs, which will be unveiling some fun mobile products later this year.”
Kahn’s career experience spans graphic design, filmmaking and digital tool development. He has worked on the films Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Thank You for Smoking while living in Los Angeles, and during that time formed Kahncept Industries at which he designed limited-edition graphic t-shirts that were sold in West coast specialty boutiques.
Kahn was most recently on the digital team at Grey Group where since 2009, he helped develop global digital collaboration tools for use by the network of agencies around the world. He also worked on digital campaigns for Pantene, Hess, NFL and Ketel One.
He joined Grey Worldwide in 2006 as an art director in its New York office and worked on campaigns for Captain Morgan, Hugo Boss and Nokia. In 2008, his digital campaign for Tanqueray gin was nominated for a New York Emmy Award.
Shortly after, Kahn spent a brief period at relationship-marketing agency Rapp to work on Mercedes Benz but returned to Grey Group in 2009 on the digital team.

“I was ready to lead a digital creative operation after all of the work I did at Grey Group and the branding experience I got at their New York agency,” Kahn said. “I’m glad Crossborders and I found each other.”
Kahn holds a BFA from Alfred University.
